We know that visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating, so we want to do all we can to make your first experience at Massaponax Baptist Church (MBC) a positive one. Here is some information that will help answer some questions you may have before arriving.
What to Wear
There are some that choose to dress up in suits and dresses, but most people choose to dress more casual. Come the way that you feel most comfortable.
Parking
There is parking on the Rt. 1 side of our facility as well on the Massaponax Church Road side directly across from Fasmart. Enter from the Massaponax Church road entrance and use the connector road behind the church to access the parking on the Rt. 1 side.
Worship Service 11:00 a.m.
The entrance to the church sanctuary faces Massaponax Church Road. An usher will greet you with a smile and give you a give you a worship guide and will help you find a seat. This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. We know that everyone worships in his or her own unique way and for many, that means singing & clapping, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the lyrics. CDC guidelines are in effect. Please wear a mask. Seating is social distanced.
Offering
One of the ways we worship God is through the giving of tithes and offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This act of worship is one of the ways we thank and honor God for who He is and the great work He is doing in our lives. These tithes and offerings give MBC the means to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with others in this community.
The Message
You will always hear a biblically based message that will apply to you no matter where you are on life’s journey. We trust that these messages will help you develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ or perhaps hear about Him for the first time.
Children
Children are encouraged to attend children’s church during the 11:00 a.m. service.
Children’s church is open to ages 3 through fifth grade. Sign up the Saturday prior to the Sunday service by visiting children’s church.
Communion
The first Sunday of each month we celebrate communion together. Anyone who has made the decision to follow Jesus Christ is welcome to participate in this time of reflection and prayer. The juice and bread we share represent the life He willingly gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.
Want to Get More Involved
MBC provides a range of opportunities for attendees and their children to move beyond just the Sunday services. Our goal is to help you develop a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ and other believers.
