Backpacks of Love

Each fall, the church collects supplies to create Backpacks of Love for local students suffering from homelessness. The backpacks are created for children according to age and gender and then donated to the local school system for distribution.

Recently, the Ministry Team filled 37 backpacks for homeless and disadvantaged students in Spotsylvania County.  School supplies, personal hygiene items and a Bible were included in each backpack labeled “packed with love.”  Think of the excitement each child will feel as they put their supplies in their “cubbies or lockers.”  Thank you Massaponax Baptist Church for your gracious donations.  “…’I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ “  (Matthew 25:40) NIV
